Who we are

Tech Türkiye Advocates (TTA) is the Türkiye chapter of Global Tech Advocates (GTA). The chapter is operated by Academia Park Ltd, its exclusive representative, which is the data controller for this website and for TTA membership.

What we collect

When you apply for membership: your name, email address, company, job title, LinkedIn profile, city and country, what you can offer and what you are looking for, how you heard about us, and the choices you make about how your details are used.

When you sign in with LinkedIn to apply, LinkedIn sends us your name, email address and profile photo. We keep your name and email and do not store the photo. We never post anything to your LinkedIn account.

We do not use advertising cookies on this website.

Why we use it

To review and confirm your membership, welcome you into the community, and make introductions, invitations and event communications that you have asked for.

As part of membership, we share your name, title and email with Global Tech Advocates for the chapter's advocate list, which connects you to the wider GTA network. Applying for membership means agreeing to this; if you would rather not be on the list, you cannot be a member, and you can leave at any time.

Only with your separate consent: to list you publicly as an advocate; and to send you the monthly TTA update, which includes programmes and services from TTA partners.

You can withdraw any consent at any time by emailing us, and every email we send has an unsubscribe link.

Who processes it for us

Service providers that store or send data on our behalf under contract: Brevo (member list and email, EU) and Vercel (website hosting). We do not sell your data.

International transfers

Your data is held in the United Kingdom and the European Union. Where data leaves the country you live in, including Türkiye, we use the safeguards that UK GDPR and Turkish data protection law (KVKK) require.

How long we keep it

While you are a member, and for up to 24 months after you leave or after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict how we use it. Email admin@academiapark.co.uk.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you live in Türkiye, to the Personal Data Protection Authority (kvkk.gov.tr).
